The Orange Creamsicle Jelloshot

Here is another jelloshot recipe I developed with my BFL Hannah Banana on a night of intended studying.  I love orange and I love shots and I thought of the creamsicle.  Yummy yummy yo and Good times.  Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 (6oz) package Orange Jello

2 C Boiling Water

1/2 C Cold Water

1 1/2 C Whipped Cream Vodka or Vanilla Vodka (will do) (Chilled)

Vanilla Icecream

Mellon Baller- Not a ingredient it’s a tool (I used to scoop the icecream into little balls)

Dixie Cups

Directions:

  1. Boil 2 cups of water
  2. Add jello mix to a large bowl and slowly stir or whisk in boiling water.
  3. Stir until mix has dissolved completely.
  4. Add in 1/2 cup of cold water and the Vodka.  Stir together until well mixed.
  5. Let stand until cools a tad (only about 5 mins)
  6. Line Dixie cups up on a cookie sheet.
  7. Pour jello mixture into cups evenly and place in the FREEZER!
  8. Using the Mellon Baller scoop 20-24 tiny balls (1 scoop for every shot).
  9. After about 10-15 minutes remove tray of jelloshots from freezer.  They should be cold but not yet set.
  10. Drop one ball of ice cream into each shot.
  11. Place tray of shots back into Freezer to finish setting. (20-30 minutes depending on your freezer)
  12. Serve, but keep in freezer until ready to serve to keep ice cream cold.

*Makes about 24 shots depending on your portion size.

Dixie cups or shot glasses (however you get down)

  2. On a cookie sheet, or platter, set out 20-24 Dixie cups.  (This makes it easier to transport to and from the refrigerator.)
  3. Add Jello mix to a large bowl and slowly whisk in boiling water.  Whisk together until all of the mix is dissolved.
  4. Add in cold water and vodka.  Stir until well mixed together.

  7. Serve and party.  Be careful because these are sneaky!
The Bucket list of Food

I’ve watched the movie but I never really made one till now.  While stumbling online, on stumbleupon.com,   last night I discovered the website Brown Eyed Baker (http://www.browneyedbaker.com).  The site was awesome and I can only aspire for my blog to look and be as nice as hers.  While clicking around further on the site I found a tab labeled My 100.  There I found her Bucket list of food 100 food she wanted to cook.  I was in awe.  I found this oh so original I was inspired.  I thought to myself, I must, MUST, make one!  I got to do it!  So here I am compiling this list of recipes I hope to make within this year.  I have oh so many recipes to choose from in my ever-growing chamber of, not so secret, recipes (it’s actually starting to grow a life of its own, that chamber, I find recipes daily).  So what better way to get through them and test them than to make a bucket list which now include Brown Eyed Baker’s Irish Car Bomb cupcakes.  Thank you Brown Eyed Baker for inspiring me so much.  I hope one day someone stumbles upon me a finds me inspiring as I have found you to be.

Here is my bucket list and for now it only includes 60 recipes but I am very sure the list will grow as I find more recipes daily.
